Promoting positive development in a dynamic learning environment, IMPACT offers arts and leadership workshops, performance opportunities, and community service for its participants. The program curriculum encourages its students to focus on life and pre-professional skills, literacy, culture and political issues. Featuring original music, choreography, writing, and video projects, IMPACT has served over 300 teenagers, and counts 20 college graduates and 40 current undergrads as past participants. IMPACT members appeared in the film “August Rush” which earned them an Oscar nomination for best song, performed live at the Apollo, and have been featured on “Good Morning America.”
