How do you renew a book?

Call LEOLine at 212-262-7444.
LEOLine is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Have your library card and PIN number handy. Most materials except Book and Video Express copies may be renewed five (5) times for the same period as the original loan, unless another reader has placed a "hold" on the item.

Please Note: We calculate your new due date from the day you renew your items. If you renew early, time is not added to your original due date. (As an example: A three-week loan due on the 5th but renewed on the 3rd would have a new due date of the 24th instead of the 26th.)

If three or more items are overdue, or if you have outstanding fines or fees, you cannot renew your items.

Renew online

1. Select My Account
2. Enter your Barcode and PIN
3. Choose "Items Out"
4. Select the items you want to renew
5. Click the Renew button.

A box will appear telling you whether or not the item has been renewed.

Renew in person
Bring the item(s) in to any branch and take to the Circulation Desk. We will renew the items for you.
